I had the day off yesterday and the weather was perfect so I headed out for some exploring and decided to head north to see what I could get myself into.  I hit 15N to 14N, stopped in on my ghost town but it's still inaccessible yet, lot of snowpack yet and then hunted to just below Elmira, NY. Didn't find anything that I didn't already have tons of back home so then headed back 328 to Lawrenceville, PA then up onto 49 to Elkland, found one really nice fossil up in there then came back down to Tioga and went via 287S and mosied my way on home that route. There is a great roadcut I collected at before not too far from Tioga on this route and it didn't let me down..found a couple of new fossils for my collection there too. I'll post pics later..I'm head out to do some metal detecting with my daughter and her BF..hope it's a great day, at least the weather is going to be gorgeous again...wish us luck.

I hope to be out after this coming week. Usually while fanatic is gone to Bristol is when I get out. Jim

I was going to head south to checkout those quarries I was given access to but after a few emails to my fossiling buddies down there..the snowpack hasn't melted off enough yet, guess I'll have to be patient a little while longer.
