Meeting for GPAA 3/13/2010

For those who meet with us at the Fire Hall last month will remember that we met at the West Eaton Station, we will again be meeting there and will from now on (when held in this area) the station is right on Rt. 26 in Eaton NY. If anyone has any issues with directions please dont hesitate to call me 315-941-3470

New York Prospectors Meeting Minutes 3/13/10
 
The meeting opened at 10:10 am 3/13/10. There were 14 members in
attendance including 2 new members.
 
Danny reviewed logistical information for the Fire Hall.
 
John announced that all future meetings will be held at the West Eaton
Fire Hall in West Eaton, NY.
 
The new members had a chance to introduce themselves and tell the group
about their prospecting history.
 
Danny read the minutes of the 2/13/10 meeting. Approved as read.
 
Work continued on the proposed charter. The attendees voted on the
meeting time and day and it will be added to the charter. Meetings will
be on the second Saturday of the month at 10:00 am.
 
Officer nominations were held. Currently Danny is the only nominee for
President and John the only nominee for Vice President. We cannot
function effectively as a club with only two officers. We encourage
folks to self-nominate for any and all officer positions – President,
Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer. We will not hold elections until
we have enough nominees to fill the positions.
 
The website poll for deciding which weekend to hold the Road Trip was
close. The members present decided to delay the vote until more members
are available.
 
We gave away three bags of cons for door prizes and had successful
raffles for a sluice and a bag or Randys Expert Panner Cons.
 
The next meeting will be held on 4/10/10 at the West Eaton Fire Hall at
10:00 a.m.

Thank you for all whom participated in the meeting, like Dan mentioned without help of others we cannot get this off the ground, if you think you can even help for the intern it would be greatly appreciated. With numbers roles become easier to achieve.
